Interprofessional Education for Collaborative Practice (IPECP)

Interprofessional Education for Collaborative Practice (IPECP) at the University is based on the Interprofessional Education Collaborative ()’s Core Competencies for Interprofessional Collaborative Practice (), the Health Professions Accreditors Collaborative ()’s Guidance on Developing Quality Interprofessional Education for the Health Professions (), and the National Center for Interprofessional Practice and Education’s .

Our work currently includes the development of policies and procedures to facilitate IPECP, expanding faculty development opportunities in IPECP; and designing, developing, and delivering practical, clinical, and experiential learning opportunities for pre- and post-licensure health professions learners. Visit this page to learn more about our new IPECP Faculty Mentorship Program.

A hallmark of our approach is our partnership with Student Affairs to develop co-curricular offerings for student learners. Learn about our new microcredential badges for students.

IPECP at the University is under the care of the Academic Affairs Council for Interprofessional Practice and Education (IPE Council). Co-chaired by the Director of Interprofessional Practice and Education (IPE) and an annually rotating faculty co-chair, the IPE Council is deliberative and advisory and meets every other month during the academic year. The charge is to advise and recommend actions to Academic Affairs that support development of an intentional, systemic, and systematic approach to interprofessional practice and education at the University for the benefit of patients and clients.
