About

Our graduate programs in health sciences and rehabilitation include Optometry, Audiology, Blindness and Low Vision Studies, Speech-Language Pathology, Occupational Therapy, Physician Assistant Studies, Biomedicine, and Orthotics and Prosthetics. Each program is built on a foundation of:

  • Interprofessional education and interdisciplinary training that fosters teamwork across the health professions on the Elkins Park Campus.
  • A primary care and holistic philosophy, preparing you to treat the whole patient—from prevention to rehabilitation.
  • Early, exceptional clinical experiences, beginning in your first semester and expanding into externships across diverse health settings.
  • Innovative learning strategies, including small-group, interactive, and self-directed learning to sharpen clinical problem-solving skills.
  • Integration of emerging technologies, ensuring students are skilled and adaptable for rapidly evolving professions.
  • Personalized support and professional development, focused on helping every student succeed.

Following the July 2025 merger of Salus University and Drexel University, our programs benefit from the combined strengths of two esteemed institutions, unified in a mission to deliver cutting-edge education and exceptional patient care.

Our Elkins Park Campus features three modern, four-story buildings, which house academic and administrative functions, and the Hafter Student Community Center complete with a Sensory Garden, all surrounding a historic manmade pond, bridge, and gazebo, originally developed by John Wanamaker.

Within these facilities, you’ll find state-of-the-art labs, research areas, and clinical training sites designed to simulate real-world health science environments.

Students also gain invaluable hands-on experience in our clinical facilities:

  • The Eye Institute (TEI) in Philadelphia’s Oak Lane neighborhood
  • TEI’s satellite office in the Chestnut Hill neighborhood of Philadelphia
  • William Feinbloom Vision Rehabilitation Center, housed at TEI Oak Lane
  • Pennsylvania Ear Institute, located on the Elkins Park Campus
  • Speech-Language Institute, located on the Elkins Park Campus
